SESAC FILM SCORING WORKSHOP WITH CHRISTOPHE BECK

The SESAC Film Scoring Workshop with Christophe Beck was a stellar experience and I'm so grateful I was selected for it! We spent the weekend scoring two scenes from a Christmas movie and a documentary, getting critiqued, and received valuable mentorship from Chris as well as Harry Gregson Williams who were both simultaneously super wise and funny! We were also fortunate to meet Richard Kraft whose words of wisdom I always cherished, and to bask in his infectious drive, positivity, and love for this industry. Thank you to the wonderful Erin Collins for organizing this. I also met nine highly talented composers and we made sure to put our best foot forward during this truly unforgettable weekend. I can't wait to see what each one of us will do next!

It sounds like an incredible opportunity to get hands-on experience scoring both a Christmas movie and a documentary over just one weekend. Getting feedback from industry veterans like Christophe Beck and Harry Gregson-Williams must have been such a grounding experience, especially when navigating a creative field where the learning curve is so steep. Balancing strict deadline pressures with artistic passion reminds me of juggling heavy coursework back in university, where having access to expert TAFE assignment help or solid mentorship made all the difference in keeping up. I wonder how tricky it was to transition between two completely different genres in such a short timeframe. Thanks for sharing a glimpse into the workshop!
