I was honoured to be invited by the Department of Music at the University of North Carolina Wilmington for a two day residency. Day One was a lecture on Identity, Experience, and how Music can be a vehicle for the free expression of both. Day Two was a composing and film scoring workshop. Talented students showcased their compositions which were critiqued by faculty and students during the first half of the masterclass, while a short scene was scored collaboratively during the second half in order to introduce students to the principles and techniques of scoring to picture. Photos below are from the masterclass.
